Hey guys, I like this manilla program. But have a couple of questions.
how much free RAM do you have left after it first boots up?
Also, how do you hard wire this to a button, like SPB mobile shell does.
Is it possible to make this come up instead of the cube?

I'm just getting my phone today (coming over from the palm 4.1 dark ages.) Its great all of the development going on over here and at XDA, but I agree it is a bit confusing ofr a noob.

I assume installing a manilla cab is less complicated then flashing an entire new rom or working in a kitchen. As a cab Manilla should just work as a program on top of everythe else, and I assume I can just remove it if problems arise...

Maybe I man misunderstanding this? Is installing the Manilla cab the same as flashing a ROM (I assume no)? If so, I will wait and start with a more finished product.

Yeah the Manilla cab is just a plug in .. and can be uninstalled ( although Ive had trouble removing it but i was able to overwrite it with the new manilla which seems to be more stable.. few issues but i can live with)

ROM flashing is another ballgame one which i havent played with although i ve read quite a few threads about and doesnt sound complicated but only the few horror stories kept me from doing it... especially if you have to flash another carriers rom for raiod and gps upgrade ( i guess it is no longer the case now... everyone has their own offcial gps and radio rom)... in any case, u will still need to unlock if you want to apply this ROM... whereas the manilla cab is just a software install

UPDATE: Im going through right now and putting in all the apps and files ported from the OPAL now into this ROM. Should be done soon!

Sweet. I've been trying to get youtube, audio manager and all that goodness working. Mixed success so far. I'll just wait to see what you turn up
