Also, in your Start Menu OEM, you have
Code:
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Utilities"):-File("Comm Manager"LNK,"\Windows\CommManager.lnk")
And I think it should be
Code:
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Utilities"):-File("Comm Manager.lnk","\Windows\CommManager.lnk")

If you disect the stock rom, and look at their initflashfiles.dat, they have several entries like that. So I left them the way they were...Not sure of why their like this and what it does, but these roms are supposed to be like 'stock' so I left it the way it was....

New Alltel ROM and VZW

Can I apply this ROM, and then the VZW stuff? Or do I need to dissect and then add in the VZW stuff.

The Verizon stuff is already in the generic OEM:
Code:

That and it's much easier dealing with the OEM's when they are in the ..\OEM directory as opposed to a disassembled rom which puts them in ..\SYS. That's part of the reason I created these carrier specific roms.

Understood...but I was talking about the new Alltel ROM? Is there a way to strip out the Alltel-ness, and slap in the VZW-ness, or am I barking up a really wrong tree?

Wow you are quick to respond. Dont you sleep?

Sleep? I can sleep when I'm dead. Learned that one from the army. But you could easily disassemble the alltel rom, delete the OEM directory and insert the Generic OEM. That you'll have the new Alltell SYS and have your Verizoness stuff....

Any way of or plan to augment DogGuy's kitchen with ability to add-in Spalsh1 and Splash2?

I understand that these can be added separately, I was trying to think of a next step thing for you to take a wack at ... 8D

Sorry, I didn't read the thread to see if this had already been discussed.

Best regards,

It would just be modifying the batch files to implement it. I haven't dived into that yet. Usually for splash screens, I'll cook up a minimal ppckitchen rom, or usually nowdays use the file at the end of post #1.

Now I'm playing with or trying to figure out what would be the best way to implement themes for the current rom. Manilla is there, I wanna do a Vista theme as well, a manila2d, and maybee an i-phone buahhhh-one. Probably a Mega-Oem that would skin the calulator, dialer, welcomhead, setup screens, commmanager, media player, cube, and today screens. I had the Vista almost done last night, but while doing something my mind wandered and I totally discombobulated that kitchen. I'm gonna take another whack at it tonight. I haven't skinned much, but looking at the majority of the roms on here they are all pretty basic ppckitchen builds with updated graphics/skins in the oems....
