How do I remove the read only so I can copy over the old XML file with the new XML?

Ok I used total commander to do what I stated above. But now for some odd reason the town I live closest to (Santa Maria) is not working it says "unable to retrieve data for selected city". Any Ideas?

your version of HTC home might now allow for custom weather, try installing one of the version from post 1, either the 5 or 6 tab.

Okay, so I installed the 6tab version of HTC Home provided in the "Custom Weather" zip. Oddly though I put the XML file into the Windows directory and the weather on HTC Home still shows the old weather places and does not display the newly added cities. any ideas?

replace the file again, sorry for all the trouble,s but when you reinstall the 6 tab, that replaed the file again, so go back into total commander and replace it again.

I replaced this xml file in windows folder and was able to select the city from the new list in weather tab.
But it keeps giving me same error when I tried:
Unable to retrieve data from selected city. Select here to retry.
Any idea what happened?

I did replace it, I actually reinstalled the 6tab and replaced the XML file 2 times and still got the old weather cities.
