Re: New Bell ROM 3.09.666.1 released 8/23
yes, I upgraded to the new radio, 4.42.50 and have tried both this new bell rom and also a rom based on it with the kitchen. I tethered and used speedtest.net and avg around 400-500 kb/s download and 200 kb/s and upload. I have seen it rise once to 900 but the test failed and never finished the upload portion. Plus I notice that speedtest never places me where I am, in vancouver. The first time it says I was in toronto, today I tried again and I was somewhere in nunavut. Anyway, don't know if that makes a difference but still speeds slow.

Re: New Bell ROM 3.09.666.1 released 8/23
strange locations! ...but sounds like neither of us are getting rev a speeds. Not to spread a rumor but awhile back i heard bell was waiting till closer to the 2010 olympics before releasing their rev a in BC, sort of a twisted promotion

Re: New Bell ROM 3.09.666.1 released 8/23
Help, trying to use Terracrosser for non-modem navigation without turning off the Radio each time.
-HTC Touch/Vogue on Bell with stock 3.09.666.1 ROM -Set A-GPS to "Disabled" with Advanced Configuration Tool 3.2.0.0 -Start>Settings>Connections>Connections Icon> Deleting CDMA or settings doesn't work, it keeps coming back, like that guy with the hockey mask in Halloween. How to I permanently turn Off my modem (company won't pay for a data plan). I tried registry and settings changes but it always gets re-enabled. Setting get re-enabled immediatly upon GPS access occurs. Same thing happens when I run the HTC GPS test tool or the Chartcross GPS test tool so it looks like these programs dial the network by default or Bell or HTC has some background program set to modem-out on GPS startup.
