I managed to finally get Skyfire to work with my 6.1 Bell ROM

I just signed up for the Beta months ago, like many others, and even though my number is Canadian, they sent me an invite like 3 months ago? It's a great browser, can't imagine using anything else.

Try going into their website and using promo code Michael8 it should be good for a beta at least for you.

Having some issues...

Started with Bell OEM stock ROM and tried HTC Touch Bell ROM 3.09.666.1
After clicking update 1.19 to 3.09, phone reseted and in bootloader it crashed with an error (invalid command or something similar).
Now when trying to run RUU again (1.19 or 3.09), there is no current version but allows to click update to 1.19 or 3.09.
Upgrade gets to 1% and phone goes to bootloader multi-colour screen while Vista shows error [328] - Invalid Command...This utility cannot be used with your phone.

SPL is 3.01.1000

Any ideas?

Is there a way to have this rom withour the bell cusomization ?

or is there something in the bell that you need to get the thing working properly ?

just flash the rom and when it goes "customization starting in 3-2-1" soft reset. that should prevent customization.
