Okay quick update...I reset a couple of times this morning and it still did not work. I then remembered that sometime this weekend I had set my screen to landscape so that I could surf the web (which is my preference). Well when I looked the setting still showed the system as in portrait. However each time I reset - the green 6.1 screen was still landscape while the today screen was portrait. I went in and set the screen to right-handed landscape then went back in and set it for portrait and everything is now working normal again.

But the MMS does work, correct?

To be honest I'd almost rather have them seperated like it is now if they're not going to show up inline.

mms does work. but like you say i think i prefer them seperate

okay install that, and i could not send MMS then, it did split up the MMS and SMS. it seems like you are missing the right server settings, so a simple reg edit and it should work.

I then call alltel tech and ask about the MMS being in the same thread has SMS, and i swear the tech support is full of retards, the first guy didnt know that the SMS had threaded text, so i asked to advance tech, that guy didnt know SMS/MMS was in the same folder. Then he said yeah it will all show in the same thread, if it a text or pic, has long has it is from the same person it will be in the same place.

Then he try and tell me that GPS will not work at all unless you use the Alltel program they have on there. because otherwise the GPS is not set up right to use any other gps program.

I am flashing back to stock 6.1 to see if the SMS and MMS are actually in same folder, or if they guy was a complete moran. Im going with the latter tho.

Edit: yeah that guy was a moran. he was wrong, It appears that the MMS will be a single file and will not be threaded like the SMS.

Something that I noticed on the MMS is that any i recieve come in with the 1 in front of the number for whoever sent it, whereas texts come in without the 1. Not sure if this is why they won't combine into one thread. I'm going to continue testing and if I find anything else I will let you know. I know I have tried the 5. version in some roms I've built from the kitchen and the sent pics would stay in the same thread as regular sms, but could never get the server settings to work correctly. This version doesn't seem to work the same way. Not sure why.

The Diamond release date as it stands now is Oct 30. The Pro will on sale Nov 13.
