Your welcome.

I personally ran it before reading up on it (of course ), and it put my phone in airplane mode as well, and then my Rev A speeds slowed down, GPS took a lot longer to lock (maybe it was all in my head ). Then I hard reset, let customizations run, and everything felt like it was back to normal. Others on this forum have had similar experiences. But if your not having any issues, then I would just leave it alone as well. No point in hard resetting if you dont have to.

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD

While it may sound trivial, has anyone else noticed that with the new ROM, the OS no longer displays how long the data connection has been active? Previously, I could tap on the opposite-facing arrows, and it would display how long I've been connected. Now, however, the timer is gone...

Is there a simple registry fix to bring this back? Or am I the only one who's noticed...

Thanks!

Oh, and BTW, Opera Mobile 9.5 >>> 8.65. It's like day and night...

I believe it is this way now to conserve energy and only connects when called to by certain apps, i.e. texts, calls, incoming/outgoing email, or if certain programs are launched.

What about people running custom ROMs, like OMJs latest? How do you run PPST.exe on it? I tried it, and my GPS diminishes after a few hours... so far, this stock ROM works a lot better...

You run PPST by looking in the Windows folder (windows/PPST.exe) for a file called "PPST" and just click on it.

The custom roms require you to run PPST to provision your GPS and Data services, and then GPS works great (at least for me) with no issues.

This New official one does not require you to manually run PPST because it already does it for you when it runs the customizations at first boot (For Sprint Users).

I agree, this New Official ROM has been working flawlessly for me, and has been a heck of a lot snappier!

Unfortunately, his ROM didn't come with the PPST.exe file, and everyone was just loading this ROM, THEN his... (OMJ's)

I wonder if the PPST.exe can be copied from this ROM, and used on his? I have been running for over 24 hours, and I still get quick GPS locks--on his (and every other ROM,) I lose GPS after a few hours, and I have to soft-reset...

So far, I'm impressed with this stock ROM. I can deal with a bit of Sprint bloat-ware until a flawless custom ROM comes out...

Here ya go buddy. This is the PPST.exe file that your looking for. Just unzip, place it in your windows folder and run it. Hope this helps.

Which PRI is this?

Thanks for the file though... was this pulled from this latest 3.03 ROM? or from the original "leaked" ROM?

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD

This is probably obvious but...
I'm a Bell customer in Canada... (White Rock, BC... 1 km from the US Border). I upgraded to the new Sprint ROM this morning. Love it but... because there is not a custom ROM out yet specific to bell, I'm stuck using the Sprint settings.

My question:
I assume because it is a Sprint ROM, my phone will try to access the towers in the US rather than in Canada... ???
The "service" settings in the "phone" control panel/setting is very specific to Sprint and obviously does not give a conclusive "Home Only" for Canadian Bell customers... any suggestions. I don't really want to flash back to OMJ OEM ROM MS Mobile 6.1 for Bell as it uses the leaked Sprint and not the new official ROM.

Side note:
GPS locks quicker than leaked version. Sweet.
Don
