Sprint forced the Phone as Modem profile for Internet Sharing in the new Mogul ROM as well. I posted this in the Titan forum:

I poked around a little bit, and it looks like they added this reg key in HKLM/Comm/InternetSharing/Settings --> ForceCellConnection [String value = "Phone as Modem"]

Just change it to "Sprint PCS" and you'll be good to go. Plus you won't have to worry about selecting Phone as Modem at all in the future. Thanks Sprint! That is actually pretty handy!

Tried to do a CAB, hope it works

I have decompiled the new rom & checked the mxipupdate_oemoperators_101.provxml, both "Sprint PCS" & "Phone as Modem" are in there, but as bedoig pointed out, the phone as modem is being forced.

Just go into HKLM/Comm/InternetSharing/Settings

change ForceCellConnection to "Sprint PCS"

the cab should also be in \windows, it's called sprint-navigation-htc-touchmr-2.0.15-norereboot.cab

I dont understand any of this could someone explain phone as a modem for internet sharing and why it needs to be sprintpcs.

I was wondering if anyone has extracted the Start-up Animation from the new Rom? I flashed the new Rom...had a whole host of issues with software compatibility and then flashed back to No2Chem's Almost Official Rom which I find to be much more stable...I do have audio issues with that particular Rom, but at least Voice Command works. I am also using a 8G SDHC and have not had a single corruption since my upgrade to No2Chem's Rom...maybe the problem was with the original software??

I will say that I did not do a second Hard Reset after I flashed the Official Rom...so who knows, maybe I really didn't have compatibility issues at all...I switched the Audio Para and lost Audio completely. Voice Command would not enable...either the Original or 1.6.19209 build.


If anyone has extracted the Start-Up Animation, I would love to get a copy of it so I can put it on my current Rom..I just like the look of it
