you have two options... alltel is being purchased by verizon, so wait until they release a rom from their own xv6900 for your alltel model. or go to sprint and sign up for an account with them and then you dont have to worry about bricking your phone....

For the guys having trouble with GPS on the new ROM, run the Sprint PPST here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=139

Note that I got a new Touch from Sprint and immediately flashed it with the "official" Sprint ROM that has the 6.1. I couldn't get the GPS to work at all. Then I followed post #972 (above) and ran the Sprint PPST. My GPS works fine now with google maps.

What does PPST stand for and what does it do?? MY GPS works fine after flashing with sprint 6.1. Is this fix suppose to make it lock faster?

The current leaked Version of both the Vogue and the Titan are not what Is going to be released officially... They are still just test versions. I have just received confirmation of this as of this morning. Target date for the Titan/mogul is 3rd week of july... Vogue is mid July.

I have this leaked ROM with the 2.04 PRI and I've noticed that my GPS doesn't work as good as it did with the last leaked ROM with the 2.03 PRI. Occassionally it won't work until I soft reset, which I never had a problem with using the 2.03 PRI.

Has anyone else had this issue? And can I install this cab and go back to the 2.03 PRI on this leaked "official" ROM without problems?

I have found the opposite. I am using the latest official "leaked" ROM. I was using the older leaked ROM and JD's hybrid ROM. I find thatthe latest sprint ROM works very well re: GPS. I almost always get locks within 30 seconds or less. However, for some reason, these ROM In the past) always seem to get locks fast and consistently and then for some reason 'drop" off and it gets harder to get GPS locks. But so far, the latest sprint ROM has been working well for me and I think I will stick with it for awhile before flashing any other ROMs.....we'll see.

Also, I am not sure if this has been discussed, for people having the issue with the contacts not having the letter bar on the side, I installed the HTC Random Access cab floating around here and it fixed the problem (I didn't do the hard reset after flashing the ROM and ended up with this issue---I was anxious and forgot to hard reset but that was the only real problem I have noticed so far since the ROM got leaked.

I have decided the touch diamond with vga sounds and looks so good , that I am saving my money up so I can buy the cdma version when sprint releases it. Hopefully before X Mas .

I wonder if any of the differences between the two would warrant another ROM update once 'officially' released.
