I agree that a Bell ROM would be the best to use. Upgrading using the process from the other thread seems cumbersome and without perfectly clear instructions on how to do it. What we need is a clean updated cooked version from the likes of OMJ that incorporates the official Sprint release / Bell ROM / Mobile 6.1 and can be executed without going through various confusing steps that include mixing other with ROMS. Some of us are actually new at this stuff and need it kept simple.
Having said that... I have nothing but the highest respect for those who know their stuff and of course I do appreciate all you do to help us newbies out. We'll get there some day.
Regards.
Don

I was using stock for a long time, then I went to the 3.37 radio with OMJ's Bell OEM ROM. I like this new Sprint ROM because I get REV A, GPS, and I find it very fast\responsive.

I mean the new Stock Rom with Rev. A and GPS.....but it's 6.0

Not sure if this is on topic, but the Sprint Touch documentation mentions an LED for GPS status. While using the GPS on the new ROM, there doesn't appear to be any change in the LEDs. Has anyone figured out a way to enable this so you can tell at a glance if your GPS chip is active? Maybe a registry edit?

Not idea....but I did call Sprint, and they said when they announce the new Official ROM, which he said is predicted for middle of July, Sprint Radio will be included in Sprint TV, the Sprint TV we have now is a stable version for the Vogue

Sorry guys, i have a pretty useless questions. But, I had already installed the leaked ROM before I upgraded to this "almost official" ROM.

However, my roommate's phone is original stock, whatever was on the phone when we got it. Can I just run the ruu and take it straight to the newest rom without doing all the stuff with the unlocker?

I hope this makes sense, i just dont want to have to load all other stuff if i dont need to.

Hello guys I am a noob but I will appreciate the help as well as a lot of us who are scared to post and be made fun of but here goes:

1. On the today screen there is an icon of a windy road next to sprint tv. I press it and it does nothing.

2. The gps on live search works. I installed google maps and my location does not work. I press use gps and it does not work. I tried messing with the gps setting and can't figure it out. Can someone help!

Thanks in advance!

Has anyone figured out what this icon is for? Is there some prog associated with it? Wonder why it was not included in the rom.

It's for Sprint Navigation. http://navigation.sprint.com/snweb/

It should have been included in the rom.

And the GPS in Google maps should work, for me it just takes awhile to get a lock.

Yes you can just run the RUU. You do not have to do anything special like unlocking the phone etc...

Pretty sure this was covered in the thread already, but that is the Sprint Navigation and you are experiencing the same problem I did, where the icon does not function properly. You will also notice that you do not have Opera mobile installed which is part of the rom.

This is due to the installation not completing sucessfully and the fix is to either reinstall the rom, or do a hard reset.
