Has anyone else tried upgrading the Radio with the newest Bell ROM? Did it help GPS?

Re: Verizon XV6900 upgrading tutorial and troubleshooting!!! GPS enabled!!!

@platup
what do you want from your phone? I did update my phone and I can't be any happer.
I have the best overall WM (for me I tryed many custom roms but I did not fell my phone acting good, from speed or the layout) for that I flashed my phone with new Bell update ROM. its has many things that maybe I don't need but but I can control what I want. I don't have data plan any more, so I can't till you if everything will work right or not. I can conect my phone to my laptop and use the ubs cable to use the net and its working with out any problem not even config anything..

the good things:
*fast overall windows
*my GPS still work
*call qualty still good

the bad things:
I don't have because I'm looking on the good things!

Re: Verizon XV6900 upgrading tutorial and troubleshooting!!! GPS enabled!!!

ka911,
I've been running DHARVEY's rom and everything works pretty good. I was just currious if the radio in the new Bell rom helped GPS, signal strenght, etc... Looking through the Bell ROM thread, I didn't see anyone saying they had tried it on a 6900, but it sounds like it has helped the GPS for quite a few others.

You'll need to change your Internet Properties/Connection on your PC to "Never dial a connection". It's dialing #777 as a backup when the cable is not available.

Re: Verizon XV6900 upgrading tutorial and troubleshooting!!! GPS enabled!!!

I did fix it by doing:
Start > settings > Connections > Connections >setup my proxy server > deselect the chick box from this network connects to the internet then hit Ok

now I can serve the net with out any problem.

PS: does verizon has PPST?

Re: Verizon XV6900 upgrading tutorial and troubleshooting!!! GPS enabled!!!

Is it still the case that pretty much nothing is working to get consistent quick GPS connections with a Verizon phone?
