hmmmm store them in outlook contacts, so when u activesync it updates your phone, or u can set it so activesync can upgrade both i think (extras in phone upgrade outlook, extras in outlook upgrade the phone) but if u didnt set it up that way, u need to delete the connection from activesync and reestablish link, then it should ask you.

Re: Upgrading Tutorial For Verizon XV6900!!! Radio 3.42.30 with working GPS
my fav lil programs either in the rom already or added to mess around with now:
AE Button Plus $$$ + MVBKL: rerouted my never used camera button to go from 0-10 brightness everytime i press it. so can save power at lowest brightness levels but in sun outside i can never find anything on screen, so this helps me alot. can readjust other buttons if you want too. Pocket Alarm: only clock program i tried where it overrode the default sound settings to wake me up. like i keep phone on silent/vibrate at work. but come home and forget to turn it back on and default alarms then wont wake me up next morning. sooo many settings, kinda confusing hehe, but just need to tweak a few. $$$ GPS toolkit: Google Maps, Gps Viewer, Live Search, GPS Speed Sentry $$$ actually makes a sound when connection is gotten (errrr wish GPS Viewer would do that)... QuickGPS dont know if it actually works but i update it often. still is the weakest link in the phone. sometimes wont connect. sometimes 2 minutes is fine. always seems to work at home heh, and iffy when u reallly need it in another location. Quick Menu and LargeStart Menu: the top leftest most side of screen opens a quick view/task manager which is useful. a lil to the right and get the big large start menu. Random Access: find it easier to find contacts. just press vertical letter which contact u want. havent been able to get it into my Phone contacts. just regular Contacts shortcut. anyone know a way to get it 'into' Phone (so if goto Phone first, then hide Keypad, instead of seeing large list of contacts, u see the list but with Random Access). read a way to do it... didnt work. SpriteBackup: make a backup of your programs/settings. so u can always reinstall the same rom and reinstate your progs/settings. $$$ Total Commander: for file explorerin', creating shortcuts, easily import .reg files, think it does ftp too putty: so can do stuff with some websites with ssh login. remote desktop: i dunno in case i need to log into my computer remotely lol, i dunno if this would even look good, would prob have to scroll like crazy. PocketIRC: for talking on irc, although this constantly runs even when screen turned off, a battery killer . keeps bugging me to register when start, maybe is free if u dont mind not registering? $$$ Internet Connection Sharing: just plug into my computer and bam, using that connection. Some roms have this working more than others. fring: free IM program, good for what i provides, other people say Jivetalk beta is cool, but it dont work on alot of roms, so i settle for this. Opera 9.5 and Opera Mini: i used 9.5 and liked the 'scrolliness' but cant seem to move via just the scrollbar. Make sure 9.5 has setting of Mobile View or everything looks small and crappy... Also been using Opera Mini more (free java app). heck i admit i use IE when i want something quick too. some people who got in skyfire beta say thats cool. be on lookout for that browser gmail java app: check my gmail, have it running in background usually. a lil annoying to reenter password everytime, and controls arent too great. but gets job done. Windows Live: always on my Home screen to update hotmail email other programs occasionally useful: facebook mobile app looks better than facebook website in a browser. TCPMP for watching vids with codecs MS prob cant handle although i never actually used TCPMP hehe. Yahoo GO 3 for catching up on news quickly. Some calculator skin cuase default calculator is ugly. office mobile eh never really use. adobe viewer, flash. Simple Settings: usually turn off the Phone Keypad sounds, slows down phone dialing. add a song as my ringtone. add a few quick shortcuts in Menus settings. use the FULL QWERTY keyboard, sometimes the regular keyboard to type. Go into Today and turn off most Home items but HTC Home and Windows Live. Turn some Sound Notifications tweaked, like vibrate if missed call etc. never really got MMS to work, but have Arcsoft installed in case i try again. think i got a audio recorder. tried S2U2, didnt like it so much, i like just quickly turning on my screen, no sliding. looks cool though hehe.[ Last edited by arianhojat; 07-14-2008 at 07:58 PM. |
