Re: Almost OEM 6.1 Sprint ROM **V.3.0** (6/10/08) GPS/Rev A. Enabled - NOW 2 VERSIONS
I have been having problems with audio with this rom...I had flashed this Rom initially because I just liked all the features then flashed the new 'Official' Rom to upgrade the radio, and to see if it was any good...Hated It and re-flashed this Rom.
I was wondering if anyone else has the same problems with audio as I do....more specifically alerts and announcements....MSVC is sporadic at best when announcing incoming texts..... sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Also, alerts for incoming messages/text messages don't always play. I have settings for my phone to vibrate when I receive a text and also the sound file is just a stock file in the Rom. Most of the time it will just vibrate without playing the alert...I wonder if there is a conflict between MSVC and the alert trying to play at the same time???? Any help would be appreciated. I really like this Rom more than any other out there..I would just like it to have 100% alert functionality |

Re: Almost OEM 6.1 Sprint ROM **V.3.0** (6/10/08) GPS/Rev A. Enabled - NOW 2 VERSIONS
Downloaded GPSToday and while it works, after several minutes it loses the ability to locate and lock on satellites. A softboot restores functionality but after a few minutes it drops again. Once the satellite lock drops in GPSToday other programs (google nav. etc.) will no longer get a signal lock until I reboot. Any work around? Setting the update interval time to a larger value or manual start/stop seemed to help but I like the idea of seeing an up to date display with out having to use a manual start/stop of satellite search.

I am entirely new to this, can anyone point me in the direction of some reading material for upgrading to windows mobile 6.1? I have the HTC touch and want windows mobile 6.1. Any step for step on how to use these roms on this site? Thanks in advance.

Quote:
For a stock Sprint Touch (not previously upgraded or loaded with cooked ROM), just for 6.1 there is only 1 step - have you phone connected and run the latest ROM (see sticky). That is what I did. If you want to preserve the info from your device you will need to back it up, and restore once you are done. There are links in the real step by step instructions. OM |
