SRS WOW HD sound for vogue

I have SRS WOW HD sound working on my Vouge/Touch with 6.1 -- sort of.

Unfortunately it only works through my S9 bluetooth headset -- sounds excellent. I have not figured out the reg edits to get sound working everywhere else.

I'm hoping someone can give me some help.

As I mentioned, the only sound working for me is through bluetooth. Uninstalling the cab restores sound.

Thanks for any help. This seems like it could be a great upgrade if someone could get it working properly.

I am so frustrated at not being able to make this work. I found another thread on XDA that talked about playing with the "order" key in the registry. I tried values from 1 thru 16 but it made no difference. I also noticed that people are saying the SRS driver works correctly in the "almost OEM" 6.1 ROM. I'm guessing that means that something that was installed there was part of the answer? I've tried a few things (netCF, nueAudio) with no luck. I've also tried swapping in different audioparms.csv files, but again no luck.

I am convinced that this can work. Post number 111 on the xda thread linked above shows that this is working with a Sprint Touch, however it does not say what ROM version; also, it plays clearly through my bluetooth but kills the sound everywhere else. Therefore, I think it has something to do with the registry settings that point the sound from the rest of the phone to the proper driver? Just haven't found what that is -- unless it is the Wavedev settings themselves. I too tried changing the order entry but that didn't help. My next step - when I have time - is to try different versions of the SRS software.

Another possible approach, if it is truly working on the almost oem ROM, is to figure out what the differences are. That could be the key to understanding.

I think if enough smart people working on this, we can solve the puzzle. I wish my tech abilities were greater - I just consider myself a power user/hobby guy.

I think the benefits of the software are great enough so that it should be possible to get more people working on a solution that should work for all future Touch/Vogue roms. That's what this thread is about.

I wonder if we can get a hold of the original wavedev.dll (pre leaked 6.1) and drop it into the Windows DIR...maybe something changed in the driver between 6.0 and 6.1

Which version is this? I tried v1.28.5.0 about a month ago and it would work on everything but my bluetooth headset.
