Updated!! (5/18/08) ALMOST OEM 6.1 Sprint Vogue ROM **V.2.1** with Working GPS/Rev A.

First off.. GREAT ROM! Yesterday I switched from OMJ's (which I had GPS working OK but had to go through some extra steps to get it going... but didn't have to reboot each time I wanted to use it.) to this one and in the past 24 hrs I tested out GPS and got a lock within 30 sec to a minute (outside/inside). For those who are having problems with the GPS try the 3.35 radio. 3.37 didn't work for me and since switching to 3.35 it's worked.

Path to current config... AllTel ROM, downgrade to 3.35, OMJ's v1, OMJ's v2, and now Almost OEM v2.1 with updated GPS driver.

Is the download site down? I just went through the whole tutorial, downloaded the unlocker, and got the altell rom. Now when I try to download this one to flash, the link doesn't seem to work.

The java emulator wont install my Opera mini 4.1 it just throws an unexpected error. I've tried installing via IE and also send the file directly to my phone and tried to install that way.. Any idea?

so last night before bed i decided to get adventurous and try my hand at flashing roms. i followed the different steps from the tutorial and everything seemed to work out ok, except i could not get gps in my apartment (google maps). i was tired so i decided to quit for the night and give it a try on my walk to the train. it's overcast today but i still did not get a lock on any satellites. i didn't find any info but is there something i need to do for a first time lock? like truebeliever71, has anyone been shut out with radio 3.37 but achieved success with downgrading to 3.35? and finally, how do i downgrade radios? thanks for your help.

Can anybody confirm if the SRS WOW drivers are working with this ROM. That's the one program i use the most...much more important than GPS.

Hello... To do downgrade the radio you need CokeMan's Vogue Unlocker, a generic RUU, and the 3.35.04 Radio. These are all pretty small files that you should be able to find here on the forums but if needed I can email them to you.

Steps...
Run Vogue Unlocker.
Run Generic RUU with Radio file copied into it's directory.
Run Cokeman's 2.31 Unlocker.
