Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

UPDATE: Still going strong, this is amazing. I just had locked on to 10 sats. The most I ever had before was 5, when it worked from time to time...

I'll be so happy if this still works tomorrow AM.

I really think when PPST runs when you're initially flashing to the leaked ROM something doesn't work right and that's why it hangs...

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

hey I got the PM but for some reason I can't copy the ppst file. I copy it from my touch to a folder on my desktop and then it never shows up. I can't figure it out, tried setting folder options to view all files, including hidden ones. Really I don;t know why it wont let me.......

Wink Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

I ran the ppst from the cab and then from the windows folder and now all I do is roam. I am using sprint as a carrier and now I roam. The signal is amazing but its no longer sprints signal. I am still on the pri 1.33. and cannot seem to get that upgraded. I am reflashing the leaked rom and see if that will clear some things up and go from there. I will post results..

Actually I don't think ppst.exe is what I need. I think I actually need default.ppst now. Not sure why that didn't work, but you should be able to email the files straight from your phone. If you highlight then hold the cursor on the file you'll get a Send To option. I'd like to get the ppst.exe file and default.ppst file and compare them to the one I took out of the sprint leaked .exe.

OK. Now everything is working better. I am now updated to pri 2.03 or whatever it is. Now gps is working like a champ....... Flashing back to my kitchen rom. Hopefully everything will carry over since the radio is working correctly now. I'll post back later...

Same happened to me. I fixed this by loading PRL 60612 from the site below. All is back to normal (no more roaming)

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

question.

I flashed the alltel ROM and then JD's test ROM. I also installed updated dlls and my gps works decent enough with astrogpslauncher and quickgps. Would installing and running ppst.exe hurt anything? I currently have the following:

ROM version: 3.04.671.2
Radio Version: 3.37.10
PRL version: 60711
PRI version: 1.33_003

Under data parameters I only have:

Packet Dial String: #777

I dont have a line for evdo enable/disable

I havent been able to verify if I have rev A speeds or not. I havent noticed any problems with sms or receiving phone calls.

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

I think I'm convinced this is the real fix. Maybe this should be stickied...
