TCPMP. There's one version on XDA that appears to work, but I can't get mpeg4 videos to play with it.

I think you can remove my thing about GPS drivers. Apparently you don't need that virser_gps.dll file because people have reported that it still works fine without it.

I see you have the audiopara file problem posted.

Other then those two, I have no problems at all what so ever. GPS lock is insanely quick!

None of the dialer skins work. Just the HTC one dated 5/1/08

Re: New Sprint leaked OEM and Kitchen incompatibilities

For the record I'm NOT patching GPS drivers at all and it seems to work fine (as well as any other ROM anyway).

I also set GPSDaemonServer.DLL service to Manual. This service might be for reporting position back to applications for tracking your position. But this is just a guess.

My practice is, if you don't need it, don't run it, don't do it. And if I do need it, I'll find out soon enough.

Re: New Sprint 3.02 OEM ROM / Kitchen incompatibilities and fixes

The version of TCPMP at xda does not include the mpeg4.plg. Also.. we've gotten TCPMP working for next update, minus the mpeg4.plg as it still seems to crash the entire app when including it. It will be optional for testing and for those on older ROMs.

SPBCalculator has also been fixed for next update.

"Error 67 code for internet sharing" shouldn't be an issue in the kitchen. Nothing as far as i can tell sets the extension entry to rilphone2, or the maxCMConnectretries to 1..
The sprint oem on the other hand sets extension to isext.dll which is correct and maxCMconnectretries is already 0. I've also just added this to OEMDrivers to make sure it gets set for everyone on next update.

I also know OMJ has some nice dialer skins somewhere around here that he uses and likes ( but not sure if they work with the new ROM as most skins arent )

IBliss, Dual Touch, and Vogue dialer should be working.

BlueFrog based dialers are not right now. This includes BlueFrog, Touch, Colonel's, Graveyard.

TDial Designer is capable of making skin replacements for Vogue dialer if anyone is interested.

i have a strange issue with my cooked new Sprint ROM 3.02... once the phone goes to sleep (after a minute) it won't turn back on. If I manually turn it off then it turns back on fine... I can turn off the setting so it doesn't automatically shuts off but that's annoying... anyone else having this issue?

EDIT: I believe the issue was the HTC Performance OEM i was using. I created a ROM without it and it's working now.

where can i find the telenav software that came with the new ROM rather than the one listed for the Mogul. There are some slight differences that I enjoy on the leak ROM that are not on the mogul telenav

Problem - voice command quits due to low memory.

fix -- The problem is caused by too much music on your sd card. Go into voice command settings and uncheck media. Another fix is to use schap's advanced config application from xda dev. and disable file system cache.

I found these solutions at xda.

The Default Themes (the ones with the radio buttons) do not seem to be working. They install the .tsk files correctly, but they do not actually set the theme as default (as I assume they should based on the provxml). They must be manually changed in the Today Settings. No matter which theme I choose I always get the Windows Mobile 6.1 Theme as the default.

Check the settings in whichever gps app you're using.

I am having issues with the new rom as well. I am a corporate goodlink user and as soon as good is installed no programs will launch, including messaging and internet explorer.

I revereted back to the no2chem rom and everythings working again. I don't get any error messages, I just try to click messaging and nothing happens. Same with camera, explorer, etc.

Hopefully it will be fixed in the next rom release, as I'm guessing it's connected to some of the other issues people are having.

I tried it today with very little luck - Ultimately the Recommended Voice Command would not work (error on every soft reset) and I also could get no sound (wave device error) from my phone or wired headset. - I could get sound using A2DP and a set of Bluetooth Stero Headphones.

One thing I noticed on the two Kitchen Cooked ROMS I tried - I never saw any customizations on either one run. hmmm....

I am back at the no2chem kitchen rom. - Which also does not have the PPST.exe file under /windows....

Here you go this is a cab that will extract ppst.exe and some other things. I took this cab straight out of the leaked sprint exe file. It wasnt' extracted from the NBH itself.

Once I installed it my PRI was the same 1.33_003, and I lost radio. I think it was because it installed a prl 0507 something. So I installed PRL 60711 and got my radio back

Edit: Removed attachment. Something is not right where it doesn't upgrade to the correct PRI version and then installs an old PRL that will cause your radio not to connect.

I successfully installed leaked rom. GPS and everything seems to work fine except my data speeds are awful. I am in Baltimore/DC area and before the upgrade, Rev 0 seemed to work fine. Am I missing something?

Re: New Sprint 3.02 OEM ROM / Kitchen incompatibilities and fixes

I found some issues with the Kitchen/OEMizer:

1) When putting in additional files into the ROM via OEMizer "Files & Shortcuts", those file settings are not kept after saving changes, exiting OEMizer, and re-opening. Not sure if this is by design or not

2) When using OEMizer to pre-populate email settings, those settings don't wind up in the ROM and are lost after saving changes, exiting OEMizer, and re-entering

3) There doesn't seem to be an option to use SSL for incoming email (IMAP4), only outgoing... Unless the SSL checkbox enables both, but it doesn't seem like it...

Go to Cootek's website. They have a version of TouchPal for wm6.1; that solved it for me.

That's definitely a GPS (nav?) app doing this. Drove me nuts the other day, till I saw this option "auto update sys time to gps time." in settings. Stupid feature if you ask me, as you dont always have a GPS signal.

Re: New Sprint 3.02 OEM ROM / Kitchen incompatibilities and fixes

Seems to be a problem with HTC today plug in and HHC customizer. I am using the leaked sprint rom. Changing weather using latest version of HHC from pocketemu.com (v.1.0 final?) causes weather to becaome broken. Once you add a custom city, no city works. Cant connect to dowload data. I haven't come up with a solution. It probably points to the wrong server though.

I noticed one small bug. When you open up the pictures and video viewer it will not show the videos and the camera icon wont open up the camera. This rom was created by the kichen. Im not sure if the sprint leaked rom is doing the same. I hope the people at PPCkitchen are on Bill Gates pay roll for helping out with all the WM 6.1 bugs.

This may vary based on how you have your MP4's encoded (mine are ASP or H264), but WMP still plays them if you don't want to spend any money. Otherwise CorePlayer (once I remembered to set the video mode back to Raw FrameBuffer) and Conduits Pocket Player still work. Pocket Player doesn't list MP4 in its supported formats, but it will pick up whichever formats are built-in to the device. If I could only get it to play my DIVX AVIS...
