Sure will, upload them to the FTP under the \vogue\users\rstoyguy\temp directory. I'll fix that vc problem and upload them.

And everyone needs an uninformed explanation of the option.xml file for the OEM tutorial...good!

Will upload them now. I also realized Pocket Mechanic install doesn't actually create a shortcut. It asks you whether you want to create one the first time you install. (UMmmmm... strike that... it only ask because I don't know how to create the shortcut in my OEM apparently.) It did create a shortcut to one of it's system files, wizapplauncher.exe, but I figured out how to delete the shortcut from the initflashfiles.txt.

I guess you'll tell us how to fix the locked vc settings file in the new OEM creation tutorial?

One last note, I busted my volume slider with my latest ROM but I doubt it has anything to do with these OEM's. More likely I deleted a little too much and now my volume slider works like a D-pad and flashes a little green triangle on the screen. Weird.

EDIT: rstoyguy... since you're fixing my Voice Command OEM anyway... ;) ... I forgot to mention it doesn't attach itself to the long-press camera button either. Thanks.

Question about the pocket mechanic oem. Does it already have the predefined operations for file system cleanup; the oem in ppcgeeks.rar does not and so I've just been doing a .cab install. Also, what version did you package up? thanks!

It is version 2.95.

If you mean by "predefined operations" the icons for Defragment, Scandisk, Format, etc... then yes. Otherwise... whaddaya mean?

I must have an old PPCGeeks OEM file... mine doesn't have Pocket Mechanic at all. A searching I will go...

open up Pocket Mechanic and scroll down to "File System Cleanup" and click on it. Under "Name" do you see stuff like "Empty folders," "Google maps cache," etc.?

Music ID 1.3

Uh, oh, looks like Cingular caught on to us. Music ID 1.3 doesn't play nice after about a week. Upon launching it now says "In order to use MusicID, you will need to subscribe. Press OK to go to the subscription page" which won't load because it's not recognizing me as a Cingular phone I'm guessing.

I gotta figure there's a settings file somewhere that's triggered this but a quick search couldn't find it. I tried trashing the MusicID folder in Application Data but that didn't do it.

Oh well, I can live with the Smartphone version (especially considering I only use this app once every couple weeks and more as a music trivia thing).

Thanks for trying though.

it's busted anyway. I'm still trying to learn how to manage initflashfiles. I managed to get a link in the Utilites group but it points to "L". that's it.. just "L". WTF?

rstoyguy has got to fix it and tell me how!!!
