First of all, big thanks to OMJ for all the hard work an all the imformative replies.
I just got the Verizon XV6900 and I thought I give a shot at flashing your full OMJ's WM6.1 Custom ROM. I think everything installed OK. Didn't have enough time to try to lock in the GPS for the first time. I read in your post that initial lock in takes long time. After flashing to your ROM, I can not set the GPS harware port anymore. I like to have an option to use the bluetooth GPS receiver if the lock in time takes too long or the built in GPS is not accurate enough. Is there any solution to this ? One more question; Am I suppose to run PPST.exe or is that for Sprint user only. I skipped this process when I flashed your ROM. engine89 |

Re: OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM w/ UC, GPS, REV A! Updated 5/29/08
Thanks OMJ, Excellent work. =D>
I built up the courage to finally try this. I must say it was relatively painless. I kept imagining what my story was going to be to Sprint to get my new Touch replaced. I installed the Full Custom with Java for Sprint and the only thing I have had to add since was S2U2. GPS is VERY quick on startup. Not extremely accurate. It keeps saying I'm at my neighbors house but I know even the car ones are only accurate to about 30 feet. I'm not sure when they came out with it but my phone had Radio 2.13 instead of 1.13 that everyone else seems to have. My speedtest numbers also went from 1130 download to 1450 download and 275 upload to 450 upload. I don't know how good this is but I'm happy. ![]() I have 2 battery icons on the top right of the screen. The original one witht he 4 bars and the new one with the percent # above it. Is there a way to remove the original one? Ken |
