Think of it as a button that says Enable or Disable. If you click on Disable, then it will disable it...if you click on Enable, it'll enable it.

Ok... so then im "clicking" on enable by switching the value to enable. This is way to confusing.

Regarding another matter, i just backed up my phone for the first time using resco backup (finally got everything exactly the way i want it). If i flash V3 and then run resco backup/restore, will the restore set me back to V2 or will it just rewrite my programs over V3?

OMJ, great ROM, thanks. Followed the tutorial sticky and your ROM and everything (including GPS) is working great. I only had a few problems. TomTom Navigator seems to lock up, I also have Google Maps and that seems to be working fine. I just dumped TomTom.

I'm also getting the phone screen after I close a program, not sure why because I didn't call anyone but after I use a program and shut it down, the phone screen is open. Not that much of a big deal, I just close it.

I havn't had a chance to try or test much else but installed Live Search and Sprint TV and both work fine.

My wife is now pissed at me though, i've installed this new ROM and she says that the phone is getting way to complicated for her.....lmao don't you just love it!!

OMJ, i jus wanted to say we all appreciate all the hard work you've done.. ive read a few threads and saw how a lot of chefs are leaving or getting fed up with a lot of nonsense.. i jus hope that you dont join them.. i really look forward to your updates and latest work- we all do. basically what im saying is, dont leave us hangin bro, keep up the great work

It's already enabled. Do a speed test with your phone connected to a PC.

i understand it's enabled already(according to OMJ, you and others) but xxblind stated the samething i'm seeing on my phone, "DISABLE", and he mentioned he manually enabled it and the speed is different afterward

i tried going into the edit mode of EPST screen, what would the unlock code be?

You need to google GETSPC. Download that program and extract the .zip to your phone. Write down your HexESN that is behind your battery.

Now open the GETSPC on your phone and type in the HEX number. It is case sensitive so if you number is 35F87654 make sure that you capitalize the "F".

It will then give you the unlock code.

Once you are in, click on the bottom lefthand corner "View Info" then click on Data parameters. You'll find Rev A. there.


MINE WAS DISABLED AND I WAS GETTING CRAPPY SPEEDS. I've enabled it and i'm getting


My download speeds doubled!! BUT, my upload speeds went way down.

Speeds can vary depending on the server, time of day, network congestion, etc.

The speeds in that test don't necessarily reflect Rev A since the upload speed is so low and the ping is so high. It is possible to get those speeds with Rev 0.
