Try selecting the gps icon at the left bottom of the GPS Today plugin. If that doesn't work, install GPS Viewer
GpsViewer.PPC300_2577.cab.zip(Holux GPS Viewer)

Set it to com4 and select open gps.

If you are using OMJ second release you might not need the gps viewer.

just wanted to inform on updates:

text messaging is FLAWLESS on this rom compared to your last OMJ (refering to pre reva/gps). It must be a different version of 6.1, because my keyboard pops up correctly everytime. This rom just seems more SOLID (if you know what I mean).

I got my first GPS signal this morning it took about a good 5min to lock on outside. Later on in the evening, on my way back home I tried to lockon to a signal and I realized what everyone means by the GPS dying. It just stop connecting... (I wouldn't have realized it without GPSViewer because it doesn't see com4) So I tried the airplane mode then switching back to phone. That didn't work so I soft reseted and I got a signal within a minute.

Also love the GPStoday I even got a signal inside my classroom but it dimished the next time i tried it. Pretty nifty..

Thanks for the diligence on this OMJ You continue to make a strong ROM! I'd like to see a clean version and try out my UC skills, but everyone has a request don't mind me.

Why is it that none of my sprint plugins work correctly? For instance, when i click on the "live search" soft button, it says that "live search cannot be opened, either it is not signed with a trusted certigicate, or one of its components cannot be found." Although live search works just fine if i select it from the start menu. Also, when i click on the sprint music store it says the same thing "music cannot be opened, either it is not signed with a... blah blah blah." The weirdest thing is the sprint pictures button, it takes me to some weird file explorer screen and completely freezes my phone.

What gives?

didn't try the GPS yet but wow.
love how you packaged everything.
first time installing a ROM and it is nice!
one question i had was how can i remove that bar on the top of the screen?
it looks to be a battery meter?

I'm running 3.35 and having a funny problem with the GPS under this ROM. For some reason, while using gpsviewer, I can see 5 to 8 satellites, but they never lock.
Also the satellites drop and come back..
Anyone else seeing this?

it is and easy fix. if you have sktools, go to windows startup and disable or delete vistahide battery gauge shortcut; otherwise go into Windows directory and delete Vistahide Battery Gauge.lnk.

Anybody notice that activesync pops up randomly? I have even turned off time sync in phone settings but it still pops up. Any way to turn it off?
