OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM w/ UC, GPS, REV A! Updated 5/29/08

Hi, thanks for all the hard work OMJ.

Few issues with the BELL full custom rom, the jar and utf files are still sprint, and sprint navigation is still in the rom. I tried using a kitchen to replace the jar and utf files, but it didn't work. When trying to install the music store for bell it prompted me to continue to use sprint customizations.

First, of course, BIG THANKS to OMJ!

This is the first ROM I have flashed, and I love the added pieces the stock ROM was missing, especially with the upgraded radio. But, as any noob, I have questions!

First, GPS GPS GPS, I'm sure it's been talked about a million times, but after reading through the first 20 pages and searching, I couldn't read anymore for tonite. So, how can I properly get this working.

Here are the settings I've adjusted:
Program GPS Port 4 is open
Loaction is on, not 911 only

In the GPS Viewer the scan is succesful on Port 4, but no luck in any of the the 4 apps, on getting a position. Maybe I'll have more luck later, but so far I've had GMaps track me in North Carolina, same coast, but quite a few states off, LOL!

Second, if I run the UC from the SD, what improvements, if any, are there by installing apps this way?

Not that I upgrade that often, but after reading parts of this thread, am I correct in saying that because the programs are included in the rom, the programs can't be updated? I can't seem to update anything because I cant remove the original or write over it.

Ok well I found out why ##786# no longer worked... apparently the skins for the dialer cause it to mess up. Where do you get the original touch dialer from?

This is from OMJ, I also needed it along time ago and he made it for us

OMJ - Props. Solid ROM. Works great. I've been doing PPCs for a long time, new to the Verizon 6900 though. I used your great ROM to upgrade my devise to enable GPS. I have both Co-Pilot version 7.0 and TomTom Naviagator 6. Co-Pilot starts, takes about 5 minutes and then locks on sat signal. TomTom won't even find the GPS. Any suggestions - I've read and read and both here and at XDA. Can't seem to solve the problem.

Any help is really appreicated.

I have successfully update with your rom "OMJ.WM6.1.GPS.Sprint.Custom.v3.exe" on my currently Sprint touch Vogue, but I can not make any outgoing calls or Incoming calls.
Could You Please help?

OMJ Thanks! I would like to know if anyone has custom cube such as vista with OMJ load? I looks like Im having problems with the vista cube and OMJs load.

Anyone recommend a cube look with OMJ's?

Hi everyone,

Installed the 2.31 unlocker, then installed the sprint leaked rom, then almost sprint rom w/gps and rev a available in this forum. It seems to work fine, but I would like to try OMJ's rom. What do I have to do if I want to try this rom? Do I have to install the leaked sprint rom again or just install OMJ's rom?

Whats the difference between OMJ.WM6.1.GPS.OEM.Sprint.exe and OMJ.WM6.1.GPS.Sprint.Custom.v3.exe? Does OMJ's latest rom include the newest comm manager and the ability to drag the scroll bar to to find a contact where a large letter pops up to help get you close a contact? Do all of the cube links work?

here's what works for me.

Open GPS viewr ,make sure your outside...
on setup tab
1) start GPS viewer
2) com port: com4 Baud: 9600
3) uncheck power svaer & WAAS/EGNOS
4) cold start

on GPS Status tab wait until you see at least 3 blue bars.
you may see more bars with no color. Once locked you can switch to Google Maps or Live search.
