Things are getting better..
I can get a connection now, and I can explore files in the device but still I am not able to synchronize my stuff in the MS Outlook.. When I click on Sync, it displays 'Looking for changes' and stays there forever without actually synchronizing anything. I tried unplugging and plugging it back into the device few times on several workstations.

Looks to me there is some conflict between the leaked rom (or it's more meant for Sprint Touch and not for my Bell Touch) and the activesync program.

I am with bell and my version2 of omjs leaked sprint rom was pretty good(GPS), then slowly it took longer to lock on sats. I loaded a few programs and a week later no locks any more, so I do the ppst hack and get my pri to 2.03_003 and still no luck. Well I then flashed NexVisions rom(it is really nice as well, I love the splash screens/slide to unlock/ultimate launcher) but no GPS what so ever, just errors.

I would like to load OMJ's rom again can anyone direct a Bell user as to what rom to load(latest greatest working on Bell rom)

With various roms out there, I find the OMJ's OEM rom with GPS Enabled for Bell would be the best choice in terms of speed, gps functionality, and what not. If I could fix my sync issue with MS Outlook, I'd say this is the perfect rom.

OMJ's rom has worked close to flawlessly for me for over 1 week so far. I am using the Bell full rom.
Either the OS or one of the included programs appear to have a memory leak though, as the memory gradually becomes full; eventually I need to soft reset every couple of days.
GPS locks are good, as well as ActiveSync. The big issue for me in the past with ActiveSync is that it wouldn't connect unless the data services where disabled before connecting....apologies for not remembering where the setting is located.
The one option I would like would be to remove most of the included programs or include an uninstaller. Most of the programs that were included I have disabled, but they still occupy memory.

Why not install OMJ's Bell OEM and add what you need? I'm using the Bell OEM and it is fantastic. Nice and lean and it only has the programs I want.

I am so beyond frustrated and would appreciate any help. I have been trying to get GPS working on my Alltel Touch for a couple weeks and now and I am having little luck. I started with the stock Alltel ROM with radio 3.37.10 and a "Enable GPS" package that I had found on another thread. The first time I did this I was able to get a GPS lock on my way home from work and it worked incredibly well. That night I decided to cycle the phone on and off to see how quickly it would reacquire the signal and I have never gotten it to work since then. I have tried OMJs rom with 3.37.15 radio, and 3.37.10 radio and get the same result. GPS viewer does appear to find GPS on scan, but when I look at the status, satellites appear and disappear and I never get a lock. I have re-flashed several times and the results are always the same. I am even more frustrated because I saw it working on my phone and now I can't get it back. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. In my reading I have heard several people refer to radio 3.35.04 but haven't found anyplace to download it for the Vogue as it appears the author removed it after people had problem. Thanks again for any help.

Also, I am having the same issue as Cbus with the contacts popping up. It is not when I have invoked the contacts. For example I will be on the home screen and open text messages. When I close text, the contacts are open behind it even though I never accessed them.

Ok, well I have had some mixed results now. After following the suggested procedure with radio 3.37.15 and no GPS lock, I decided to try another clean flash this time going Alltel stock radio 3.37.10, then OMJs rom. Initially I was still getting no lock, even after letting it attempt to lock for in excess of 30 minutes. So I tried a few more times last night and couldn't get a lock. I see satellites show up in GPS Viewer, but no lock. Then this morning on my way to work I decided to try it and it ended up locking on after about 3 minutes. Everything worked perfectly in GPS viewer, Google Maps, Live Search. So I tested cycling the power on the unit and subsequent attempts were successful as well, those times locking in within 30 seconds or so. Well now I am trying it again around lunch time, and I can't get a lock at all. Cycling power gives same results. So I am somewhat encouraged, but my main question refers to the PPST. Is PPST only to be used for Sprint customers, or should everyone attempting GPS regardless of carrier run this? FYI I did end up changing my GPS to COM 2 to get these results. Thanks to everyone for their help, and especially OMJ for your hard work in producing and supporting this ROM.

That's the next update I will do. The full version is appealing because it is a real timesaver and was ready to GPS right from the get go.
