Ghettofreeryder v7 Roms - Rev A, GPS

This is my first post here and my second Touch but I cant say enough to thank everyone working on this Rev A/ GPS project. I finally have everything working after installing the alltel, OMJ, JD's custom, 3.35 radio, JD's hybrid, and finally this ROM. This is the first to have everything working and frankly I like this layout the best. Again thanks for all the hard work.

Ok.. I got everything working now. I am not quite sure what is going on. I flashed the alltell radio and installed google maps and iGO. iGO is tracking 6 to 8 sats. I used the ASTROGPSLauncher trick I used to use on my mogul... Now everything works right away and I am happy with that. I am thinking about flashing to the 3.35 radio and trying again....

GPS works great for me. Anyone else having their notification LED continue flashing orange after a new text/email has already been read? Seems the only way to get it back to green is to soft reset. Just me?

My favorite ROM so far. Great GPS performance. I get a lock under a minute. Bravo Ghetto!!! You gangsta!

I'm a Bell user, GPS works grrrrrreat!
Google map pinpoints my location within 10 sec.
It took me about 30 min. to go from stock Bell to this ROM.
I also flashed to 3.35 radio.
Only problem is that I bought a BT GPS dongle for $50 from Ebay just a month ago...

I love it! It's the best ROM I've installed so far on ANY of my devices!!!

My only and biggest complaint is with the HTC Home plugin: I can't seem to get the Weather tab to work. And it displays only Canadian addresses....bummer! Plus, it won't connect (needs ProxyType patch?). Also, the Favorite People tab disappears whenever I make changes to it. And HTC Home Customizer doesn't work with it properly.

Any suggestions on a fix?

Google HTC HOME CUSTOMIZER and in that theres an option for the HTC plugin and you can enter custom zips/states ETC

Try hard resetting, and if that dont work, try flashing the radio again. Other then that, Im not sure, it worked right away

yup that was what my original question was asking, whether ghetto had tested wit the Titan radio as he said he was going to do be doing. I would prefer to use 3.35 instead of 3.37. I would assume doing the JD method and then replacing the JD with Ghetto's rom would be fine, unless there are some specific drivers that were in those JD hybrid roms....

Ghetto can you enlighten us on this aspect?

JDs drivers are cooked into this rom, i think, I know its in the kitchen for sure

Thank You for the kitchen. I am cooking right now. I did notice that I cannot add the Comm Manager because I am told the files already exist. How can I fix this or is there a way overwrite what already there so you can choose between vogue or vista...... Also I still have been unsucessful with the GPS... I currently have the titan radio installed. Which one do you prefer to use, titan or Alltell....

remove the files it says there is a copy of. Dont remove it from the oem, remove it from probabl oemapps or oem_lang_0409

just look at the ones entered in the hh_weather_0409 file in htchome folder, its really easy

Let me list my problems again:

--HTC Home Customizer DOESN'T WORK! (at least not for me)
--The Favorite People tab disappears with any change
--Weather updates refuse to connect (ProxyType settings/patch needed?)
--Only Canadian cities show in my list of Weather locations

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you using some other type of program. I tried to use a launcher with htc home in a tab and it screwed everything up.

My picture dialer is not on mine either but I do not care. i use the macflo pic dialer.

You did try creating a custom city with state country and zip code right.
Then make sure that you have it set on custom cities and the city of your choice.
