From inside w/2 bars. I will try tomorrow with 4 or higher bars using the laptop tethered. Funny thing it says Atlanta is closer but I'm down in the Tampa area. Tried both servers - about the same speeds.

Yea I had that happen too a couple of times.. occasionally it'll recommend Atlanta, but I've gotten Orlando before too. *shrug*

There has to be something wrong somewhere. Here is what I did:

Flashed back to stock ROM
Ran new unlocker
flashed Alltel rom skipping alltel customization
flashed jd's Rev A enabled test ROM.

Now my download speeds are less than 200kbps and upload won't break 30kbps.

I'm hopeless I think...

EDIT:: MobileSpeedTest.com test results:: 142.20kbps - Definitely NOT Rev A. Oh and I have 3 bars EVDO at the time of the test.

HEY! you had to mention Olathe lol, my home town. I live in OP now, right off College... litterally 3-4 blocks away from Sprint National Headquarters....

However, I wouldn't expect to get better than average service simply because the headquarters is here....
