start from step 4 because you already have the 2.31 SPL

Now I know some of you have had errors when you tried downloading the ROMS here... It seems there may be something wrong with the ftp so use a program such as FileZilla (its free) and navigate to it manually. (I dont think you need to download anything other than from the thread above)

After you get it going... Do the Power + Camera +Soft and load OMJ software or other.

That is what has worked for me when I was stuck in the same situation.

Mine was stuck at the HTC startup screen and after following the steps mentioned above I was able to boot back into Alltel's WM6.1.

I will now try the steps from the first post to try and revert back to stock VZW rom and report back the results.

*update*
I tried the steps in post 1 again EXACTLY (formatted to fat32, 512mb card, etc.) DID NOT WORK.
after i tried it i was stuck once again on the HTC startup screen.
I am now re-doing the steps above and going to stick with the alltel rom for now. On that note...does anyone know how to get phone calls working after flashing to an Alltel rom (the VERY FIRST time I flashed it from verizon to alltel I did not know and did not soft-reset before customization and let it customize to alltel's settings)? I can see full signal but when I try to make a phone call it does not work. The radio is 3.37.10...does anyone know what I did wrong or what I need to do to fix it?

Has anybody figured out how to get the power button to wake the phone up again? I thought I completely bricked my phone but I was able to get it back to the Alltel Rom. I'm tooo scared to try to get it back to stock or anything else. This power button issue is ticking me off... any ideas out there? and BTW: great site. Thanks for all of the contributors on this site.

Hey guys ive got a couple questions for you. its a bit drawn out, but i could really use your help. ok, so i started doing my flash by using the cokeman unlocker 2.31. by the way, im on a verizon vogue, so i unlocked it with that, then used the buildos program and flashed it with a verizon rom. so after doing that, it sticks at the htc screen. so i downgraded to the verizon stock rom, everything looks fine except mi cant make calls out. i tried *228, programmed, same. so any rom now i try hangs, except the stock one. oh and i tried to build one without gps and it installed but still couldnt make phone calls. also i have the power button problem. after sleeping, i hit the power, the light goes green but the screen doesnt turn back. only a soft reset works. please any help is greatly appreciated.

ok, i made some progress, i flashed an alltel rom that gave me the correct radio version. i then flashed a rom i cooked with buildos. i can get into windows mobile etc. except now i still cant make calls says im not authorized or whatever. however i am able to get on the internet. any ideas

you have to call customer service and have them recreate the auth id and resend it to your phone... just call and say that you reset your phone and now you can't make calls, they'll be happy to help.

nevermind, figured it out, used the .41 unlocker as opposed to 2.31.
