No ideas here except make sure you're in an open area when you try to get a satellite lock. Also, satellites do move, so there may be times where you don't have as many satellites in your area... unless all GPS satellites have geosynchronous orbits.

Yea that's my fault... i assumed this was the case but its not. You should notice faster speed though, rev a i'm almost positive works for everyone. You can do a speed test to check though, dslreports.com/mspeed but note that its unreliable at best on that page.

Don't change any settings. Hard reset, install google maps. Give it 1-2 minutes to lock. You shouldn't need to set anything to com4. Should work out of the box.

Tried that and Google Maps eventually said it couldn't get a lock on any satellites.

Just finished reading through all 68pgs (my eyes are burning, lol) and all I can say is thank you to everybody, you guys are amazingly fast in getting this organized and done. I just finished flashing to altel ROM.

Keep up the awesome work

Make sure you have location set to on in settings -> phone -> services -> location setting -> get settings. Also make sure your time and date are correct.

You might just want to hard reset one more time just to make sure... somehow it took me 2 hard resets before it worked.

After that.. I don't know.. make sure you're outside? ;p

I don't have google maps but I had to manually set my Live Search to port 4 from intermediate driver for it to work. Running JD's rom by the way. Everything's great except for the ugly cube!!! we need macflo on here MM247!

jd's download seems to just the .nbh file. I have flashed many times, and havent came across this, what folder do i drop this in to get it to run his rom?

Read the Flashing How-To Stickied in the Upgrades forum. First post tells you what to do.
