I guess there are drivers in the new Alltel OS that control the new Radio and when using a ROM other than the official Alltel ROM and this Radio it does not boot back to OS. Fortunately I can still get to bootloader so it is fixable.
yeh. read the post directly above yours, have to use a 3.xx rom with the 3.xx radio

Hopefully he actually finishes it tonight because I do not like not being able to access the internet on my phone.

Hey JD is it possible for you to just use the carrier customizations for Sprint from one of the kitchens or is that useless for us now too thanks to the new ROM version and Radio?

Also, will this be like the OEM 6.1 Sprint ROM you made before or something totally different?

You're not the only one my friend. "reloadevery" has become an integral part of Firefox for me.

I used the Second Unlocker link and then Flashed the Alltel Rom that contained the radio. At the moment i am stuck using alltels rom, witch btw isnt to bad. I havent had any sucess downgrading the bootloader to load custom roms and leave the radio intact. If ya don't mind having the alltel rom give it a try. Sprints stock rom will revert you back to factory bootload, tried it and then reflashed back to the alltel one

Yeah I have the Alltel ROM reloading as we speak. I made the mistake of trying to load JD's OEM 6.1 Sprint ROM after flashing to the new Alltel ROM and it was a flop.

I am eagerly awaiting JD's new 6.1 ROM using this new ROM version.

Re: New Alltel Rom?

I didn't let the customizations run, and everything seems to be working fine for me... I'm getting better signal strength than with the last custom rom I ran. The speed is a lot better too...

I posted instructions here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=24906 on how to revert back to the previous SPL so you may go back to previous roms.
