Re: New Alltel Rom?

Brave testers check out the unlocker thread. I posted version 2.31 unlocker. It will allow a flash of the alltel EXE without bricking a non alltel vogue. It protects against SPL overwrites unlike my previous 0.40 unlocker, but it is only compatible with 3.xx roms (the alltel EXE at this point).

I'd have a better write up for you if i had my phone, but at this point i'd only recommend this for experienced users, and hopefully one that would like to do a write up

Here's the thread for those that don't like browsing to the sticky:

Enjoy!

This is freaking awesome but wouldn't flashing the complete Alltel exe make my sprint touch no longer work for sprint?

I am brave as I have an upstage I can use if I brick my touch and if it happens it happens... The phone is getting beat up anyway.

Re: New Alltel Rom?

Just a thought... Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

DO NOT FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS UNTIL THEORY IS TESTED AND CONFIRMED.

THESE ARE NOT WORKING CONFIRMED TO WORK YET!!

Theoretically this is all you should have to do...

I am currently running JD's Custom OEM 6.1 Sprint ROM.

1- Revert back to the OEM 6.0 Sprint ROM
2- Run NEW unlocker
3- Flash new Alltel ROM
4- Re-run NEW unlocker(not sure if this step is really required)
5- Flash a custom Sprint ROM, 6.1 or other

Can someone tell me if this COULD work? I am willing to be a guinnee pig but if it is a sure fire brick to do this I am not going to try.
