Thanks!

The driver you gave is much smaller, and it works!

GPS still doesn't seem to be working though.

VIRSER_GPS.DLL still won't load. I'm guessing this is holding it back.
Reg Key seems to say that it is a Virtual Com for GPS1. It's device.

@Calisoldier: so the cab just tosses in dlls? If so, what difference does that make from what I'm doing?

Still working on getting the dang file on my phone. Having issue with my bluetooth.

Wow... this is ridiculous. I can't send it through email either... gmail isn't working.

Okay, finally got that file working... tinkering now.
Should there ever be an option for the gps in "Settings" other than external?

Also, any way to get the dlls to load at startup?

If your talking about External GPS app, I believe you need to set the program port to com 4, and leave every thing the same. and make sure manage GPS automatically is checked off under the hardware tab. Also make sure you have turned Location setting is set to "On"

Not sure why the dll's are not loading at startup, maybe they do not have a signed security certificate.

Also you try chartcross GPS Test http://chartcross.co.uk/products/WM00002_details.asp and set it to com4 to see if it detects the GPS on the device.

Ah... it was on 4, but I changed it thinking that I may have accidentally set it at that.

Trying it again...

Good Luck!

Also In my previous post I posted a link to a program that will test the GPS on a mobile device.
