Re: New Alltel Rom?
BTW I am on Alltel. And I can also confirm there seems to be some software compatibility issues now. MacFlo does not work on the updated rom. I flashed my phone twice only loading MacFlo each time to confirm this. The creen goes dark and launches apps but the cube faces don't load. I'll post this to the MacFlo thread as well.
Also, each time I flash my phone, my SID is being dropped (reset to a 1) and I have to manually fix this. Seems to be a bug in the rom |

Re: New Alltel Rom?
For those that have allready flashed and are stuck would SuperCID the phone be an option? It might help bypassing the carrier check that the Software upgrade checks for.
Also I remember back in the Apache days, One of the Cellphone Operators had released a software update that updated the bootloader. Which prevented people from flashing back to the custom roms. To circumvent this issue we used mtty to help revert back to a previous bootloader. |

Re: New Alltel Rom?
Good news all, thanks coke for all the work you're doing.
Has it been confirmed that this rom gets us no where nearer to GPS? Just Curious... Keep up the good work, Spamftw |

Re: New Alltel Rom?
You can't SuperCID the phone without flashing to a HardSPL, which I think you can't do without being able to boot the phone.
Although a thought I had is, if you can't flash an old OEM ROM because the original HardSPL was overwritten by the new SPL and CID locking the phone, shouldn't you be able to go back into bootloader and completely flash the new Alltel ROM, THEN boot the phone, write HardSPL back into it, and then flash an old OEM Sprint ROM back into it? |
