Are you running the complete Alltel update? Did you soft-reset? Are location services enbled in phone settings? Did you run the 1, 2, and 3 files before running the titan_gps_enable file?

yes. files 1 and 3 didnt really do anything when i 'ran' them, they unhighlighted for a second, the phone seemed to be thinking, then the file went back to being highlighted (selected.) is that not right?

That's right, since they're not cab files they don't actually install anything.

How long did you wait for it to get a GPS signal? I had to leave mine for about 10 minutes the first time.

Also search this thread for dot freds task manager and use that to make sure the GPS Device and GPS Service is running.

Re: New Alltel 3.04.671.2 Rom Released, Rev A enabled

I waited and waited and waited finally I closed googlemaps and uninstalled the gps-active.cab (or whatever) and reinstalled the 3 files reset, installed the .cab file reset, and popped up google maps...You know what??? IT WORKED.

I just can't wait for the cust. sprint rom w/gps to get here...Yippeee! Now I can finally trash my mogul and get another touch!

i let it go until time out each time. easily 10 mins.

with dot freds task it appears that i need to delete taskmgr.exe in the SYS folder, is this correct?

Did you reset before "user customization begins in 3 seconds" start?

The only thing I did is:

New SPL...
Uploaded Altell ROM
Stopped User Customization
did the 1,2,3 Thing - reset
did the GPS - Active.cab thing - reset
went online downloaded googlemaps directly to my phone
Opened up google maps, waited 20 mins.
Unistalled the Gps-active.cab - reset
did the 1,2,3 thing again - reset
Did the gps-active.cab again - reset

Brought up googlemaps went to menu and selected gps location...and BOOM it popped up right away!
