Re: New Alltel Rom?

I just installed the alltel rom on my sprint vogue and the internet works fine. The only thing i did was skip the customization. During the installation of the rom it did stop at 11% for a while turned off and on (not sure how many times) and continued.

Now to try and get the GPS working, do i just download the three files found here:

?

I just installed the Alltel rom on a Sprint Vogue and can confirm the data connection works fine. On the HTC Home screen it shows Sprint PCS. I used Chartcross GPS Test program and set it to Com4: and it detected the GPS within one minute and quickly locked on 1 satellite.

Do not let the customization run, on first Boot.

Re: New Alltel Rom?

Not sure if it makes a difference but I took the plunge as well. I am on Sprint and running OMJ's 6.1 ROM. I just loaded the new bootloader from Icokeman, phone reset after load and I allowed that to fully boot, entered bootloader mode and verified that new version was in place, connected device and loaded ROM. I DID NOT let customizations run as others have suggested. I just finished and I'm getting speeds of 950kbs with internet working just fine. I will load the GPS files next and see what happens. I probably should just wait on the master Jake before I make another move but I have been waiting a long time for this update.

I dont post much but have been reading this board for over a year now. I think you guys are some of the most intelligent folks in the mobile community. Thanks for all your help and I look forward to what we find out tonight.

I have hard reset twice now and still no luck getting the internet to work... I went as far as to start completely over from step one and cancel customization on VERY first boot after the upgrade was finalized.

No luck...

I didn't do anything special I just rebooted the phone before customizations could run. Just a thought maybe delete your connection settings and the recreate it.
