Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell
I think you can change cdma1x to whatever you want under connection settings, the telus customizations put that in there, and it has no bearing on the way data is brought to your device. It is merely a text title for easy identification

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell
The TELUS and CDMA1X are just names that can easily be changed... if you're really worried about it, download his march kitchen from the ftp. Run BuildOS.exe and you really don't want to change any of the checkmarks, but change the Telus to Sprint, Bell or Generic, click play at the top and wait for it to say done at the bottom. Close this, run buildOS.bat, it's a much faster version, and then goto the RUU folder and run the Rom Update Utility like usual.
This method is also useful for adding in your own OEMs. Also, for those that like their songs to be sorted by track number and not by title you probably want WMP set to default, not HTC Audio Manager. To do this, use PHC Registry Editor to navigate to HKLM > Software > HTC > Music Plug-in and change the MusicPlayer key from 2 to 1. Restart your phone and now HTC Home will launch WMP! Also, Inbox text messages don't seem to be compatible if you're using PCM Pim Backup but outbox and all others will work. Everything else should be ok! Great Rom, Better Kitchen. Thanks. |

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell
What PagePool size does the v613a has ?
First few hours of using this ROM battery life was doing good, all of a sudden it started draining fast without any real use of the phone. After texting with a few friends for an hour, i received my first ever OS lock-up. |

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell
now you got me excited and confused. I was poking around and saw remote desktop, that is when I got excited, but trying to set it up is quite difficult as I have never used remote desktop before. I assume that because you put it in your rom, you probably use it, any tips for vista and rdm? This would be beyond usefull as I am always at work when my wife is having problems with her computer, if I could log on with my cell phone, that would simplify things a great deal

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell
I'm not sure about vista, but in xp you just right click on my computer, goto properties > remote > and check "allow users to connect remotely to this computer"
If you search online you can use any RD tutorial, you just use the IP or DNS as the computer, put in your computers loggin account ie: administrator, and your password, leaving domain blank for most people (the people who need it know who they are). It's very easy to use once it's set up, and also fun to play with as you can randomly make music start from 3000 km away! good times. |
