You have to be in the OS to run the unlocker because the stock SPL won't allow unsigned ones to flash, but once it shows the loader SPL the RUU is designed to work from bootloader.

ImCokeMan, but for whatever in my case the RUU won't detect my device when I am in the bootloader and refuse to connect...

It was on an XP machine, not sure what the problem is...

Let make sure that we are talking about the same thing here when I mention the RUU what I meant is running the ROMUpdateUtility.exe.

Here is the process that I followed first I ran your executable which extract the file and walk me through a series of step everything is fine until after the part of disconnect and reconnecting my device. After I did that the ROMUpdateUtility.exe pop up after checking the require box and got it to run it come back with a 260 connection error everytimes.

So I tried that a few times even restart both devices still no lucks so I thought to myself let see what's really going on so I peak at your bat file and I saw that after the disconnect/reconnect is where the RUU got invoked.

So I invoke the RUU directly (before running your bat file) to see what happened... Anyway after poking around I finally got the RUU into a "recoverable mode". This will loop around and offer me a chance to recover the upload process they actually walk me through the process of putting my device into the bootloader mode manually.it start to upload the images into the bootloader but complain something about the rom not signed I think (I don't remember for sure). Then it goes back into recovery mode.

So this time I got clever I ran your bat file up to the point when it said disconnect/reconnect and got your bat file to put my phone into a bootloader mode. Then I when back to the RUU that was still in the middle of the recovery mode and tell it to try again and it work...

So my speculation is that something with my set up prevent the RUU from dectecting that my phone was in the bootloader mode (unless if it was already in recovery mode then it doesn't goes through the checking process) and it will work. Sorry for the long post I hope it make sense to you

I ran the nbh file for the unlocker from my sd card (fat32) seemed to go fine, now the bootloader screen has the correct numbers but now the power button will not wake up my phone. Just wondering if that was a problem before I flash the Alltel ROM.

hi I flash to the new rom and before I unloking the 2.3 vercion the phone is stock on the present image in not go folder I hard rest and still not do any PPPPPllllsssss I any Helpppppppppppppppp is my business phoneeeeeee

You need to install the OZ Instant Messaging app and then log into AIM or MSN or whatever you normally use and then click menu and click log out of all and exit. UNINSTALL it at this point. The problem should go away.

I'm stuck in the bootloader :'(...please need help!! I've tried hard resetting it and everything!!! My phone is undetecable by Activesync so I ca't flash :'(

Hi everyone, I'm very new to the phone but am having a problem. I just got a new Sprint Touch (HTC Vogue) and haven't had sucess unlocking using 2.31 version of ImCokeMan's. I've had ok success with the .40 vesion, but when I use 2.31, everything looks good except for when I press the power button to turn off the display on the phone or when it goes to sleep and the screen fades. When I press the power button to turn on the display, I see the green activity light, but the display doesn't light back up. The only way for this to happen to to soft reset the phone. Obviously this isn't very productive. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and if so, is there a reason and way I can fix it?
