also, when testing your sdconfig, you dont have to hard reset....just go into HKLM\Comm\ set the value for SDAutoRunFlag to 0, then go to \Windows, and run SDAutoRun.exe

I have never seen the grey arrows go back to no connection, even on stock roms, unless I soft reset. I believe there is a registry tweak out there to kill the connection, but I don't know what it is. Also, I wouldn't think grey arrows would be a battery drain.

yeah, UC is pretty slick....I like it more for loading my XML.....thx for the cyber beer dude!

glad ya like it! yeah, when you click on AEbutton, is just runs the program in the background.....to open to configure, launch Total Commander, then go into Program Files\AEBPlus\AEBPlusSettings.exe

Well they will go away, even now... It takes like 4 hours. I have not really timed it but it takes a while... Go on the internet, and than dont use the internet for the rest of the day. (I know its hard, hehe)...

Anyway, it does draw the battery a bit more with the grey arrows because the data session is still active, its just not sending/getting data. When they go away, it has totally dropped it, thus why it has to dial the 777 mess to get back on... In cell phone world we called it tearing down when it actually released the connection... It draws more power to go up and down often which is why it has a delay, but just should be that many hours before it tears down..

Oh well.

Anyway, thanks anyway.

Re: OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM with UC!

Everything was going fine, then all of a sudden my documents and my program files on my memory card have completely disappeared which is messing with the overall setup. I have hard reset, but that didnt do anyting since the files are on the memory card. I performed a backup using spb backup, the programs are still installed but the folder arent even on ym memory card anymore. What happened and how can I get those folders back because I have alot of stuff saved in them that I need??

The favorite contacts on the home screen and the cube are the same. You have to set them up on the cube, then they'll show up on the home screen.

It should also go away if you make a phone call after being on the internet. It shouldn't reconnect unless you have something needing the internet (like push mail, IM, etc).

Re: OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM with UC!

i'm trying to figure this out, for whatever reason whenever i flash this rom, it will run perfectly fine for the most part; but once i turn off the screen... it freezes about half of the time, and the only way i can wake it up is through a soft reset, i kind of think The problem is related to the home customizer but i'm not 100 percent sure, and i've only installed minimal amounts of programs.. but i can't seem to shake this on going issue; is anyone else experiencing this? is there a fix in the registry i can do?

I don't think my internet has ever been inactive for more than 1hr.....I've got 4 pop3 accounts that check every 30min, and Outlook push.

Try seaching for a cab or tweak, I could swear I've something around to drop the data connection.

yeah what mindfrost said.....add those contacts in the cube, and they'll automatically be on the HTC Home favs.

I don't set that info, but according to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366337 it will look like this:

Code:
  <characteristic type="HKCU\ControlPanel\Owner">
     <parm name="Name" value="Sleuth 255" datatype="string"/>
<!-- Owner value is SZ_BINARY: 320 Unicode characters (640 bytes). XML "Binary" datatype processes this as Base64-->
     <parm name="Owner" value="SwBlAaSwDyuuIIgvrRRvAHgAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA==" datatype="binary"/>
  </characteristic>
Sleuth goes on to say.....

Quote:
First you set the key with the <characteristic type> tag, then you set values with the <parm name> tags. Binary values are a PITA since they're encoded Base 64 (see my entry for Owner Information above). If you want to set owner information as I did in the example, then you need to convert Unicode to Base64. Post here if you want to learn how and I'll show you how I do it.
so you may want to search that thread for more info.

I have not had any freezing, though many people using various roms have reported this issue.....maybe I'm just lucky but I don't recall ever having a freeze using any rom, stock or custom.
