Why does everyone hate the built in one? Whats wrong with it? It sends texts like, well sending texts. If you lack picture and video mail, i can understand, but install the ArcSoft 5.0.69.44 and get on with your life.

If you already have pic mail installed, install the remover first. I say the .69 version cause the newer one wouldnt work for me. Others have had it work fine. I had to do a hard reset to get rid of it all the way, so i never upgraded atter that.

Talon...Talon...Talon...what is going on, are you ok? Is it the Holidays thing? I have noticed your replies these couple of days have been alittle harsh. Well that is what it sounds like to me when I read your posts.

sms programs are a hit and miss in finding the right one that fits your needs, for instance the orig install program works just fine for what I want to do I am not to big on texting myself just here and there kinda stuff.

try www.1800pocketpc.com you might find other sms program to give a shot.

Re: what is the best texting application for the touch pro

Built in does lack some features; can't forward someone else's text to someone else- sure copy and paste. With SMS Chat you can without copy and paste...just highlight and forward.

Also the built in won't display incoming messages like SMS Chat does...unless you have S2U2- which you can enable that feature when it locks.

The built looks boring too...you can customize SMS Chat with themes.
