Tethered internet connection (via USB) keeps disconnecting - Verizon

My internet connection when tethered via USB or bluetooth keeps disconnecting with the internet sharing application on the phone declaring that the computer has ended the connection, which it has not. It does this consistently about every 10 minutes.

I plug the phone in, it connects and works great for several minutes, and then just disconnects. I then have to tell it to connect again, it'll work for another several minutes, and then disconnect again. Connecting it via bluetooth does the same thing, only slightly more often.

Is there a way to get this to stay consistently connected?

I am running the latest MightyROM on Verizon. Full bars.

Thanks in advance!
