Stuck in a boot loop

Hello everyone, can I please get some help. Last night my touch screen on my Sprint TP with the Juicy 8 ROM started acting up so I soft reset it. The problem didn't go away so I did a few more soft resets. Then my phone completely stopped working and wont turn on. If I plug it in to a usb or power cord it will charge. With the usb or power supply connected the phone will turn on but it will only display the "Touch Pro" text in white start screen with text in red at the bottom of screen. The phone will then turn off and back on again with the Touch Pro screen coming back up again. It will cycle through this process for as long as I leave the phone plugged in. It wont go any further in the boot up process.

I read numerous posts and have done the following; Removed my SD card, hard reset the phone, Entered bootloader tricolor screen and reflashed what I believe was a stock ROM I downloaded from this website, flashed various other ROMs, soft reset, hard reset. Nothing I have done has fixed my problem.

Can someone please help????? Thank you very much!

If have tried the above then it sounds like the phone is broke.

you burn up your phone? (use it for wifi router and force to stay on, play games to point you can't hold in you hands something where the phone was on for long time with no cooling?)

jpwhre, Thank you very much for responding!

I had it in my pocket for several hours. Pulled it out and used it from time to time and didnt notice anything unusual. Last time I used it, I pulled it out of my pocket and tried to answer a text. It turned on like normal but when I tried to use the touch screen it wouldnt respond. I soft reset it and got a slow response. I soft reset again and still very slow. I attempted a hard reset and couldnt get it to do it.

Now I can flash any ROM I want to it but he same problem persists. I thought it was a software problem but it sounds like you are suggesting it's a hardware problem??? A hardware problem would be great.

Does anyone know where I can mail my phone to get it some professional help?

Re: Stuck in a boot loop

Oh gotcha, thank u. I tried the stock ROM I downloaded from a link on this website but I'm not totally sure it is stock.

Also, the phone will accept new ROM's when I flash it. It shows progress meter going all the way to 100% then it restarts but starts the loop thing in touch pro screen all over again. When I flash a new ROM, it never shows the current ROM on the phone (dispalyed on my computer) during he initial connection process. It seems software related but I'm not an expert.

Re: Stuck in a boot loop

I had a mini breakthru.... I pressed home key and other keys while my phone was in its loop. While doing this the phone started booting up. I got all the way to the screen tapping set up. But then I guess I didnt hit a button or something because the phone went back to the original loop problem....

I am greatful for any suggestions.....

Ok, I got it all the way loaded by continually pressing buttons. However when I stop pressing buttons the phone turns off and tries to reboot. Then if I dont press a button it just loop... Also, it wont start up without being plugged in.

do you have insurance? warranty? When my wife had her phone repaired under manufacturer warranty, we called HTC at 800-229-1235. I can't promise the number is correct, but it's what I put in my phone.

btw, the only thing I don't remember seeing you try is just taking the battery out for 10 seconds and then putting it back in.
