studentjunk, Thanks for responding. I just tried your suggestion and no luck. I don't have insurance on it. It's a phone I flashed to Metro PCS and they won't insure it.

I had the same problem...check you battery contacts! I had a bent one! Touch Pro continuous reboot loop fixed.

Mine does this on a semi regular basis, seems to be caused by too low a battery.

To interupt the loop I remove the battery and re-insert, leave the phone off until the light shows fully charged...

Yes, like the previous poster said it may be as simple as a bad battery.
Take the battery out and put it in a ziplock bag and put it in the freezer for about 30min. Then take it out and let it warm up to room temp. Then put it back in your phone and connect the charger/ac adapter and let it charge fully. Then see if you can boot. Hope you get it working! :)

And the winner is.......... pursual !!!

However, too late for me. I had already sent it in to a shop and they charged me $60 to fix a bad battery connection. Nonetheless, Thank you pursual for the answer to my problem.

As well, I will be finishing this post and slapping a THANKS on all of you who offered their help, I sincerely appreciate it. And hopefully the next dummy like me will be able to find this post when they have the same problem and be able to save themselves $60.

I have a bit of an update for this problem, or should I say additional details how it was affecting my Touch Pro...

When I was having this issue I was using the carrier supplied ROM and it is interesting to report that since I flashed the device to Mighty ROM6 it hasn't frozen up once!

In my case I would hazard to say that the connections to and the battery itself is fine, but how the charging sequence was being handled by the software was suspect.

(I hope I haven't tempted fate by mentioning this )

MetroPCS actually offered me insurance for my Sprint TP when I had it flashed. They said they will replace the phone with equal price metropcs phone.
