Sprint TP flashed to metro, phone stopped working when flashed to stock rom

Hi,

I got my sprint touch pro flashed to metro pcs, then I flashed it to mighty rom 6, and it was working all good for a long while. After I saw all these new roms coming out, with newer manila I decided to flash a new rom, and I read that it is better if I flash the stock rom before flashing to a custom rom, and so I did. After I flashed to the stock shipped sprint rom the phone stopped working, and after I flashed the custom rom, nfsfans B14 rom, the phone still doesn't work (I can't call or receive calls). I have installed the carrier cab for metro pcs, but it doesn't work, and anyways, as far as I know it only takes care of the internet, right?

Did I break the phone, or can I do something in service mode? Do I need to get it flashed again?

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

is there any type of error message when you try to make the call?

try reentering the metro epst info... maybe the stock flash changed it back on you

This has happened to me. When I flashed to the Stock Sprint Rom. What you need to do is update to a metro PRL file.

OK here it goes.

1, go to this site and get metropcs prl file.
http://www.corolada.com/prl/metropcs/

#### Quick note I'm using the 02001.prl ####


2. Save prl file you get to the root of the SD card.

3. Update the prl file on the phone.
**This codes may be different on your phone**
Go to the dialer and press
##778#
Pick edit from the next window.
Enter the unlock code then enter.
000000
In the next screen click on view info in the lower left corner.
Click on PRL.
Click on Update PRL File then click on the menu button on the lower right side.
Choose edit.
In the next screen hit browse.
It should show up the PRL file you downloaded in step 1
pick the prl and hit ok when you get back to the older screen.
in the next screen click on the menu button in the lower right side of the screen and hit OK.

Hit yes when it ask if you want to update the item
hit OK to reset the phone.

When it comes back the phone should be able to dial out and work.

Do you know what is the difference between the different prl files, and what difference does EVDO and non-EVDO do? As far as I know metro pcs doesn't even have EVDO.

Anyways, it works, problem solved, I am just curious.

California, Los Angeles, spending most of my time in Santa Monica area in school.
I though the thing that depends on location is the different versions of radios, I installed the latest verizon radio and with that my battery life more than doubled.

Does the different PRLs have similar effects like the different radios?

I think that the radios makes a bigger difference then the PRL. By the way what radio are you using? I may go to Cali soon and would love to know the Radio you used. I had no signal in Santa Ann when I went last month.

works great in northern Cali I had no signal in my house with the latest Sprint Radio, flashed to Telus I get almost full bars and battery life has improved allot
