Touch Pro 2 + vlingo = Win!
So i use the fixed Vlingo cab on my TouchPro and it became one of the programs i used seldom while i had my Tpro. After i got AE button there wasn't much use for it except for sending messages. Now that i have the TPro2 I don't have the availability of the extra buttons for launching. So earlier this week i installed Same VLingo cab on my TPro2 and ive been using it almost exclusively for messaging.
The only 2 gripes i have with vlingo (and this could be a deal breaker for many of you) is that. 1 - it doesn't have text history. No text threading. And 2 - The launcher doesn't work. But now that im using SPB mobile i have all the widgets i need. Vlingo does however install nicely onto stock Sprint Rom on TPro2. On my Tpro i had to use an older DCD ROM. Good ROM but i could see how flashing could be a problem just to use a program. Anyway the instalation screen is a little wierd but if you follow text it shouldnt be a problem: Install cab into device. Open Vlingo program. Follow screen instructions, Only available button is the send hold button. And enjoy. Read help page for usage instruction. ** this is a test program of VLingo software for WM devices. It works on my TPro2 i have stock Sprint ROM Toouch Pro 2. I am not responsible for damage to your device.Take all precautions necessary to back up before using. ** for more info on soft check out Vlingo WM page. http://www.vlingo.com/faq?product=Windows&version=1.5 P.S. i am not a vlingo rep, I just wanted to share my experience. *** Sorry posted in wrong forum. Mods please move. (was looking for previous post on vlingo) Last edited by Artanis; 10-31-2009 at 04:27 PM. Reason: Wrong thread |
