Re: tethering speeds

in my sig is my last speed test where i actually recorded and posted. it was/is using wifi router hack. the highest i have seen it is 256k while downloading something i watched. when i used the tether fix cab i got 2.06 at speedtest on pc, but activesync keeps shutting down after a min or so and it killed my push email service from sprint (cab). i have also seen as poor of a test as you describe. the diff is night and day (litterally) not as much traffic at night, so i get faster speed tests. day times it varries during a single download. i can watch as it jumps around with a low of 10 and a high of 250+ on a single download. you might be in that time frame and just hit a low spot. try late at night/early morning.

well thats what im talking about... you went from 2.4 i think it was to .69... when u were on the 6800 you were still using the dial up system right? where you had to unplug ur phone and then start the connection... then plug it in... after your comp saw your phone... you opened up the dialer and it connected just like the old school dsl system.

Re: tethering speeds

Check to see if there is a 1X icon instead of a EV icon .. that 1xRTT mode sucks.

Reboot your phone if you get it... It takes like 10 mins to go away.

not to be a **** kinesis... but im not an idiot. i know the difference w/ 1x and EVdo... and it does... its basically 2g for cdma phones.

anywho... its not that... im running evdo rev A in las vegas. (if you didn't know... its everyone's test market for upcomming technology) well vegas and san diego. which is its own market. don't get that one either.

anywho... i guess ill just ask someone. in a different thread.

btw... im using nrgz phenix rom... it sped up a little when he switched to 28~~~ something or other.

i never understood those numbers either... i know its the radio but never understood why those #s?

i started using colonel's roms on the 6700- then followed him to the 6800-- but he disappeared... found him somewhere else but he wasn't cooking for anyone but himself anymore. when i got to the tp... i found this guy kkevank... aka kev... and he had a really great loaded rom, and it ran better (imho) than some of the bare bones roms. faster...

so does anyone know of another loaded rom? preferably w/ the energy rom for the tp? the reason i ask is that maybe they have that fix on there...
