has anyone replaced a tp1 to a tp2 via assurion?

my wife almost lost her touch pro this weekend, couldnt find it and all i could do was imagine having to pay another $100 deductible only to get another tp1 when eventually her old one was about to break and get a tp2 in exchange....she ended up finding her phone at her aunts house though but i was just wonder how the wel program works with asurion, as i know they only replace the phone with the same one unless they are out of stock, which im sure they have tons of refurb tps by now.... if i file a claim in the future is there any chance of asking for a tp2 instead or will i be denied?

You can't ask for a different phone. Asurion will guaranteed give you another TP1 unless they are out of stock, and they will not budge on that.

They will definitely not. From my experience, they always give either the same phone, or a worse phone if they are out of stock/no longer produce whatever phone you have covered.

Well it will happen eventually. I lost my vogue and they gave me a TP1 so it is possible, just not right now since everyone and their best friend are trying to turn the TP1's in to get a TP2.....

It is possible but like mikejones said, but not any time soon. maybe when tp3 comes out LOL. You should try remote tracker to find your phone if you lose it.

I got asurion to offer a tp from the mogul. Everyone I've talked to from there has always been cool, but you have to be extra cool to them. She offered it but advised me that sprint would do the swap for me so I wouldnt waste an insurance claim. She even told me to call her if the geniuses at the sprint store gave me any crap about it. Anything is possible if the asurion folks like you.

Asurion has always upgraded my phone if the device I insured was out of stock / unavailable. I just don't see TP1s being unavailable any time soon.
