Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Just took two tp's into a service center, tech was about to order me a tp, I asked if there are options, he replies "yes." He gave me about 7 different options, I heard TP2, got a big grin on my face and I said...You order now!.....Don't give up people, it took me almost two weeks to find the right 3rd party store to be willing to do this! Corporate didn't even want to do it, and even some 3rd party people lied to me and said they took the TP2 out off the Wel list...

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Well I lied to them and said my keyboard didn't work, but I really messed with the registry files to break it. They didn't hardboot it so they told me come get my touch pro 2 tomorrow, but after thinking about what I have done and with my church background I am not going to get it this way. So I will wait until my phone really break.

Touch Pro 2 on its way but. . . .
Okay, I sold myself short. I decided I didn't want to screw around with it anymore and accepted a "reconditioned", (not refurbished"), Touch Pro 2. I am very suspicious about that though. (More on this later) Contrary to the above poster's church background comment, I think this is poetic justice for Sprint. Sprint turned out a crappy product and instead of recalling them and giving us TP2s or requiring HTC to improve the design and give us redesigned TPs, they just keep shuffling crappy phones among us. I have been through 4 Touch Pros (less than many) and the one I have has all kinds of issues that re-flashing won't take care of. I tried about a month ago (before the program) to get a TP2 but Sprint wouldn't budge. I am glad I caught the posting when I did. I had both Asurion and Sprint agreeing to give me a TP2 when they came "back in stock". However, I am impatient and decided to call again and this guy just happened to find that "one" TP2 to give me. . . . . . So I sold out. Anyway, as to the "reconditioned" issue, if there is ANYTHING wrong with this TP2, I have a feeling it will find a watery death within a month or two. If it has a single dead pixel or doesn't have that crisp new phone feel, IT WILL DIE. BUT NOT INTENTIONALLY. I just have two modes, 1) careful as if it were my own daughter but made of China and 20 RECKLESS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY. I work around a lot of water fountains, have water on my desk all day and etc. Oh well, it can't be any worse than my TPs. Time to start buying accessories. I will miss my Kitchens and ROMs though. |

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Yes got my NIB TP2 today. Ordered it through Asurion and Sprint CSRs credited my account for almost all of the deductible.

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
I'm somewhat new to Winmo, but wasn't it the Mogul that all of a sudden had problems when the Touch Pro came out so everyone could get one? And wasn't this one of the reason the insurance deductibles went from $50 to $100?
