Re: THE BEST ROMs

seriously!!!? have none of you guys even tried SAC Warrior's iphone clone rom?? i dont care if you dont like iphones, this phone straight up gets THE best battery life out there.. and it rarely freezes. i tried switching back to touch-flo 3d, but there's no point, it doesnt come close to the smoothness that the Iphone clone offers.

Re: THE BEST ROMs

There is no best ROM unless you make your own. Until that happens, it is a better idea to try out as many ROMs as you can (don't worry about the phone, it can take several thousand of hundreds of write cycles) and keep the one that is the closest to your expectations.

Well its not very hard to use caulkins kitchen, just make one with all your own apps, then anything it doesnt include turn it into an oem or EXT.
First i would master using Caulks kitchen, and if your brave enough dump a stock rom, and build a rom from that. But thats a lot more advanced than making a few oems/EXTs

And dont be afraid to post any questions here http://www.everythingdiamond.info/forumdisplay.php?f=20
Its a lot easier to get help, since that forum isn't cluttered.

Question Re: THE BEST ROMs

I just got my Touch Pro a month ago, and I've been thinking about installing a custom ROM. There are so many choices out there, I'm hoping you guys could help me narrow it down.

If I were to list my top 5 most important aspects of a ROM in order (i.e. 1 = most important), they would be:

1. Stability
2. Speed
3. Features
4. Battery life
5. Size (more free space = better)

Right now, I'm thinking either Mighty6 or Energy might be a good bet. ANY advice would be appreciated.

Thanks, guys.

Re: THE BEST ROMs

In my experience, I've found Groove to be the best in terms of stability.

EnergyROM I've found needs alot of energy to run.

Silence was pretty good.

Re: THE BEST ROMs

tough to answer as really there are two versions of TP, Verizons gimped and everyone else...with energy rom I boot up with 31 megs free of memory ( I put my page pool at 8 when flashing).. I quickly drop down to 18-20 after going through the tf3d tabs..with mighty mike I boot up with 40 and drop down to 32...so for verizon users the best rom sometimes is hard to answer...if I could get energy running smooth (18 megs dosent cut it for me) I love it, but I am thinking I am going to be forced to use mighty mike (or try ssk)
