Re: Sprint replacing for TP2

I don't have Sprint, but I have a similar incident as the guy above.

They tried to replace my Alltel TP with a Verizon TP, I complained because of the crucial RAM differences in the two devices, so they offered to send me the TP2 for free instead.

it's to bad the nearest sprint store is that far away and the tech told u the keyboards are crap.. i'm going to disagree with him. the keyboards they are putting on the reconditioned phones are the same ones they are sending out for the techs to fix, so whats the difference!?!? oh well... i honestly haven't had any problems with my keyboard after pinching the space bar trick. the keyboard i'm on i have had for about 8 months, which is alot longer than any other keyboard, and it went out on me, but i did the spacebar pinch and it has worked fine ever since

Re: Replacement Woes

yeah don't you hate when these reps don't know (or pretend not to know) that Asurion is not supposed to handle your technical issues claims and them sending you there is basically insurance fraud... it's like you know this stuff better than they do

Re: Sprint replacing for TP2

Awesome, three days into having a refurb replacement, and I'm going to need my 4th TP from Sprint. The replacement's mini-usb doesn't work with the headset that originally came with it (lol), and the touch screen is going nuts...it won't register my finger in certain directions, other times a stylus tap registers on the wrong spot (not even close to where it should be).

I don't understand why it seems like only Sprint customers are having such a tough time with Touch Pros. I don't even want a TP2, I just want something, anything thats comparable that JUST WORKS and isnt crap quality.

Im in the same boat, its my 3rd touch pro, they sent me a brand new one back in a days, and finally my keyb start going out on me, but Im afraid to bring it to the techs and then end up giving me a crappy one, my phone still look like new, its been cover with invisibleshield since day one and there not even a scratch in it, all I do is pinch the space bar pretty hard and reboot it, and it comes back to work again.

Re: Sprint replacing for TP2

you may be pleasantly surprised if they just swapped the keyboard.... I had an issue with the power button not responding all the time, and I was hesitant to go there and let them phuk it up as I have my TP since last year. However, I am glad I did go in there, it took the tech less than 5 min:
Power button was back to normal
Got rid of lil oily skin , very little
Tp was snappier for whatever friggin reason, I have over a 100 apps installed and it was taking a moment for the icons to populate, not anymore.....not even a slight delay....
Give it a shot I guess

Re: Sprint replacing for TP2

If people are getting swapped into TP2's, then their getting HUGE favors from someone that's pulling A LOT of strings. The only other alt that their even supposed to go into as a comp model is the Treo Pro, which in my opinion, is nothing like the TP, but w/e...
