restoring text messages

Does restoring like 15000 text messages from a backup screw up the phone?

it should be fine. i use ms myphone to restore my text messages. the most i've restored is around 1000. i started to delete my messages cause i noticed it takes longer for the messaging app to open.

Im not sure but after restoring them on my new TP it restored without a problem took like 2 hours to do so but now my messaging freezes really bad, im not sure if thats the problem.

Unless theres a backup tool that allows you to choose like messags from past 10 days only?
