edit: hmmm... just tried it again and it shut off. That's really weird cause I could have sworn I've flashed it w/o the battery while plugged into the PC. Give it a try anyways and see if it stays powered on for you.

Ya didn't work for me in the past but I will give it another go with different chargers. Works on other devices like my old X50v which is still an amazing media player.
Also you avatar is a Yamaha sled? Where do you ride?
