People I talk to complain of echo.

Everyone I talk to on the phone complains there's an echo of them talking. I also noticed I cannot use any type of voice based phone menus because it talks to itself.

Maybe it's a ROM issue or a simple registry edit?

I'm using Energy ROM built Sept. 6, 2009.

Re: People I talk to complain of echo.

sounds like a rouge audiopara, although you may want to check into what voice codecs your using in epst.

also if there is lots of background noise, you will sound like your in a can, just poor noise canceling, and the ONLY good thing (hopefully) about the tp2.

Re: People I talk to complain of echo.

Turn your phone volume down while in the call. The microphone is hearing the ear piece.

Re: People I talk to complain of echo.

^ What he said. I have the same problem, and have to remember to turn the volume down 1 or 2 notches from the default (post soft reset) in-call volume.

Has anyone ever figured out how to adjust the default in-call volume?

Re: People I talk to complain of echo.

Going to bump this, b/c I have the same issue for some reason now. As soon as I went back to stock, issue went away Any update on this?

When having the issue, i was on Mighty 4.16 and was using the Badboy8813 Audio Fix.

the badboy8813 auidofix boosts the earpiece volume so much that the mic hears it. when you are next to someone on a audioboosted TP that is talking on the phone you can hear the entire conversation perfectly clear. it is no wonder people complain of an echo. Have you ever called someone that had the boosted volume all the way up on their TP and yours also boosted to the max? lol its not very fun.

I only use mine (also audioboosted) at full volume when in a very loud environment.

I have the same question. I hate having to remember to turn down the volume on the first call after every soft reset.
